NMSHP Spring Meeting

abqemes_embassy_suites_albuquerque-hotel_and_spa_home_right.jpgThe Spring Meeting will take place on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 in Albuquerque, at Embassy Suites Hotel and Spa on  1000 Woodward Place. The meeting will take place between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

Topics and Focus

 ISMP Safety Recommendations, CPOE Safety, How to maximize the safety benefit of Automated Dispensing Machines, the JCAHO National Patient Safety Goal 3E on Anticoagulation, Barcoding and much more !!

Directions and Transportation

From the Albuquerque Intl. Sunport - Take I-25 North toward Santa Fe. Take Lomas, Exit 225. Turn left onto Lomas. Go 2 blocks and turn right onto Woodward Place. The hotel is located on the right hand side.

From Santa Fe - Take I-25 South - Take Lomas, Exit 225. Turn right on Lomas. Go 1 block and turn right onto Woodward Place. The hotel will be on the right hand side.

CE (ACPE)

Two CE hours will be provided free from McKesson. The remaining three CE’s will be provided by NMSHP and the registration cost for the three CE’s will be communicated on the registration form.

Twentieth Annual Balloon Fiesta Symposium - October 6th-7th, 2008

BalloonsThe Nineteenth Annual Balloon Fiesta Symposium and Annual Meeting took place October 8th-9th, 2007 at the Journal Center Courtyard Marriott in Albuquerque, NM. The meeting was a success and covered a broad range of topics including venous thromboembolism, diabetes, ethics, infectious disease, febrile neutropenia, and more.

The Twentieth Annual Balloon Fiesta Symposium and Annual Meeting will take place on October 6th-7th, 2008 at the Journal Center Courtyard Marriot. There will be a breakout meeting for Specialized Technician Programs on Monday, October 6th.

Membership

If you are interested in becoming a member of NMSHP, print a Membership Application Form and mail it with payment to the address thereon. If you are paying by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, you may fax it to us at the number provided.

Our membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. New members who join at other times during the year will receive a credit on their renewal the following year.

University of New Mexico pharmacy students are invited to become NMSHP members simply by filling out the Student Membership Application provided. There is no charge for this one-year membership, but we need your address in order to include you in our mailings.

  • An active legislative committee that monitors the state legislature and the Board of Pharmacy for information related to the practice of pharmacy.
